Why I stopped blogging?

Hi friends,

Wow, it feels weird to be back on here. A few of you may be wondering why I dropped off the face of the Earth. And well, if I am going to be honest that is a pretty long winded answer, but I will give you the short version and hopefully be back on here to slowly but surely fill you in on everything.

The short version: life changes. I started this blog while finishing up nursing school. I was attending a small, private college where most people had similar view points and lifestyles. Life was rather simple: I had lots of friends, I had lots of things in common with the people around me, and practicing my faith came easy to me because it is what I was surrounded by.

Fast forward to now: I graduated nursing school, I moved across the country, I started a new job, and well everything I knew seemed to fall apart. The people around me had very different view points from me, I didn’t have a close-knit community, and adjusting to working night shift was hard. Life was different.

You know the saying “you can’t give what you don’t have”? That basically sums everything up. I was on here week after week sharing how God was working in my life, how passionate I was for living life to the fullest, and how much I loved sharing uplifting messages.

Somewhere between the move, starting a new job, meeting new people, etc. I let all of that slip away. I stopped making God and church my priority. Let me tell you, that is not something I am proud of and it is not something that has a positive impact on my life (that is another post for another day).

So with all of those things slipping away my blog slipped away with it. I didn’t care about getting on here and uplifting others. I wanted things that were self-serving; nothing more and nothing less.

But wow, what an empty life that kind of mind set leads to.

Well friends, that is really all for now. I am not perfect, life isn’t perfect, and sometimes we mess up. But hopefully I am back for good. Will my content on this blog change a little, probably, because life changes and people grow and change. Will I try to bring the same message of love and positivity, absolutely.

Stay tuned for more life updates coming your way!

  1. Well let me say, welcome back! We all go through seasons we aren’t proud of, and life has a way of distracting us from what is important. Good for you coming back and not just giving it up! As long as we have breath we have something to offer! 💗

  2. Praying for you Hanna. God’s been following you every step of the way and he will not let go. We all stray here and there, but God keeps pursuing us and nudging us back into his will. May his kingdom come and his will be done in your life!
